Kirk Pennington The Interview Skills Coach, with over 17 years of experience hiring people and 10 years of coaching people on interviewing skills, will help prepare you to ace your next interview!  Kirk sat on hundreds of interview boards as a Hiring Manager so he really knows his stuff.

Kirk retired from the City of San Jose as the Traffic Maintenance Manager with the Department of Transportation.  He was responsible for management of City’s traffic signals, streetlights, traffic signs and roadway markings, and staff of 65 employees. He also developed a Workforce Development and Succession Plan for the Infrastructure Division.

Prior to coming to the Department of Transportation in 2005, Kirk worked for 6 years with the City Manager’s Office as a Senior Executive Analyst.  He was a City-wide Coach for the “Investing in Results” effort.  He coached department directors in development performance measures.

He provided expertise in promoting employee participation and involvement specifically from front-line employees and supervisors.

Kirk graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Arts, in Political Science –concentration in Public AdministrationHe has aCalifornia Teaching Credential – Issuance based on B.A. Degree and demonstrated proficiency on the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST).   Kirk is also a Certified Journeyman Electrician.

Kirk also has years of experience on Home Owner Association Boards (HOA) if you have questions about the CCR’s, management companies, boards, etc.

Kirk also loves to laugh.   Ron White and Robbin Williams are two of his favorite comedians.
